- Works through Store Director and department heads to establish budget, plan for and achieve budgetary numbers and evaluate store in this light on an ongoing basis
- Performs or assists in store grading at discretion of the Store Director
- Communicates consistently with department heads, concerning priorities and objectives
- Demonstrates understanding of store priorities and can anticipate changes

- Keeps Store Director informed to store conditions and decisions made
- Monitors store appearance and conditions to ensure high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and productivity
- Checks that store security conditions are maintained
- Assesses store conditions in each department no less than once per hour
- Checks conditions of parking lot and grounds for safety and cleanliness; smoking in designated location
- Monitors associate effectiveness and productivity and ensures efficient labor utilization
- Ensures store policies and procedures are enforced
- Reviews and approves weekly schedules before posted, monitors store conditions and makes appropriate adjustments throughout the week as necessary
- Monitors department planning systems in relation to objectives accomplished
- Checks that safety procedures are followed and working conditions are safe
- Monitors customer relations and service levels to ensure a positive shopping environment
- Monitors Cub Hub dashboard and holds teammates accountable daily for completion of training courses
- Participates in store meetings
- Contributes to the decision-making process of the store
- Makes suggestions and recommendations for improvements
- Performs delegated Store Director responsibilities in the absence of Store Director or as assigned
- Supervises Front End Operations
- Training and oversight of cashiers, CSM's, SCOT attendants, Service Center and Bookkeeping
- Supervises eCommerce department
- Overall operation including scheduling, picking, staging, metrics
- Supervises Maintenance department
- Ensures store conditions are properly maintained
- Performs probationary and regular performance reviews
- Schedules personnel in collaboration with head of maintenance to ensure proper coverage
- Training and oversight of cart retrieval procedures
- Performs store personnel functions as necessary
- Conducts screening interview and recommends candidates to department heads
- Consults with department heads about personnel problems and work to resolve
- Administers corrective action notices and consults Store Director on terminations
- Ensures compliance with union contract rules
- Payroll/timeclock management
- Worker's Compensation and General Liability reporting and follow up
- Demonstrates functional/technical store operations expertise
- Proven managerial skills to successfully monitor performance and accountability
- Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate others
- Resourceful with ability to work across all areas of the business
- Possess the ability to motivate and work in cooperation with others to achieve desired results
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
