Overview:Employment Type: Full-timeShifts Available: Monday though Friday 8 hour shift (No Weekends)Location: Providence Medical CenterWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with expertise in wound care to become a vital part of our healthcare team. The LPN candidate will bring strong clinical skills, a deep commitment to patient well-being, and hands-on experience treating a range of wounds—including surgical incisions, diabetic ulcers, and pressure injuries. Full benefits at Prime Healthcare:Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of wounds to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Monitor wound progression, document changes, and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Collaborate with wound care specialists and physicians to optimize treatment strategies.
  • Administer appropriate treatments, dressings, and therapeutic interventions for various wound types.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure effective wound management.
  • Provide clear instructions and support to ensure adherence to wound care protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, treatment plans, and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Stay current with the latest wound care techniques and treatments by participating in continuing education opportunities and professional development activities.
Qualifications:Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
  • Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nursing
  • Current Kansas LPN license
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current.
