
Telehealth Medical Assistant

- Provide empathetic and accurate support to patients using their home health kits, including blood pressure monitors.
- Educate patients on proper usage of their devices, ensuring accurate readings and comfort with the technology.
- Interpret blood pressure readings to determine if they fall within normal or abnormal ranges.
- Escalate out-of-range readings to nurses or physicians promptly, following established clinical protocols.
- Handle inbound calls with professionalism and compassion, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Accurately collect and document patient vitals using telehealth platforms and EHR systems.
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required (accepted from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT).
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a CMA.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
- Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy and able to work with computers independently.
- Previous experience in a telehealth or remote healthcare setting is preferred.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace for HIPAA privacy.
