  • Care for a diverse range of medical and surgical diagnoses in a dynamic, evolving environment. While major cardiac recovery is not currently part of our scope, our program is actively growing.

Here’s What You NeedH.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required1 Year EEG experience Required or6 Months direct patient care experience if currently enrolled in an accredited neurodiagnostic education program Required orNo experience required if completion of an accredited neurodiagnostic education program Required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly RequiredSkillsRead, write and speak English; Proficient in operation of standard Windows/PC operations; ability to transfer digital data on various media. Must be able to see digital or LED computerized screens for clinical task completion.What You Will Do:Performs EEG Tests:· Performs EEG tests as appropriate· Knows correct recording electrode as well as their appropriate sites· Differentiates between electrode artifact and true abnormal brain wave activity· Performs patient assessment to assure diagnostic testing is relevant to patient testing needsProvides patient care:· Treats all patient information as confidential· Greets and acknowledges patients· Communicate age appropriatelyDemonstrates working knowledge of safety, infection control and aseptic techniques:· Wears gloves, gowns and eye ware as required· Washes hands between patients· Cleans machines· Disposes of contaminated materialsDemonstrates Accountability:· Enhances patient care skills· Communicates effectively· Supports team members· Uses good interpersonal skillsAdditional perks of being a Texas Health employeeDepending on status, benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student Loan forgiveness as well as several other benefits. * Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
