- Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
- Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders; May administer and record dosages as well
- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
- Compassionately explain procedures to patients
- Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH)
- Assist with transporting patients as needed
- Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Valid ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
