Our Adult Emergency Department has 36 beds, 4 fast track beds, and 5 behavioral health beds. We see approximately 140-160 patients/day. If you are looking to work in a community hospital ED, with a very stable nursing leadership team, and if you like working in a fast-paced environment, then we might be the right place for you.About this position:The Nurse Educator (Nursing Professional Development Specialist) assesses the educational needs of nursing staff for our medical, surgical, and oncology units and works closely with management team to develop and implement programs to meet those needs. She/he is involved in all aspects of staff development to include orientation and continuing education, and serves as a resource to staff and managers in regard to patient care standards for the med/surg and oncology units. The Nurse Educator will adjust schedule as needed in order to provide supervision and guidance to new staff on off-shifts. Participates on multidisciplinary committees to complete projects/procedures that affect direct patient care. Participates in implementing strategic hospital and department initiatives.What we offer!

What you will bring:
  • Master's degree preferred. Qualified applicants can be placed in the position if they agree to complete an MSN; must apply to and be accepted into an MSN program within six months, with course work to begin promptly after acceptance. Steady progress toward degree completion is defined as a minimum of 9 credits per calendar year from the time course work begins.
  • BSN is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of RN experience on a medical/surgical unit is required; oncology experience preferred.
  • Experience in nursing/staff education preferred.
Salary Range: Minimum 46.57/hour - Maximum 72.18/hour.
