- Maintain Proper Manufacturing Lead-times, and order policies for Make Items in Costpoint
- Analyze demand signals and quickly identify any anomalies.
- Interpret MRP action messages and diagnose root causes of planning discrepancies or system anomalies to support accurate material planning.
- Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and reporting necessary for government contract compliance and inventory traceability.
- Ensure planning activities are aligned with project budgets, schedules, and regulatory requirements, including FAR/DFARS compliance.
- Monitor and analyze excess and obsolete material trends.
- Continuously evaluate MRP settings, planning parameters, and system outputs to identify inefficiencies.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Program Management, to support end-to-end planning processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the material planning process to enhance MRP accuracy, reduce planning cycle times, and increase on-time material availability.
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of prior relevant work experience or a Masters degree with 3+ years of prior relevant work experience. In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience will be considered
- Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or purchasing activities, including experience obtaining quotes, generating manufacturing orders and interacting with vendors and programs.
- Candidate must have demonstrated leadership experience in a previous role.
- Candidate must have strong knowledge of Bills of Material (BOMs), Routings, Order Policies, Lead Times, and other planning parameters that impact supply and demand alignment.
- Candidate must have experience in project-based inventory management, particularly within government contracting environments requiring strict compliance and traceability.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and their integration with manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

- Proactively reviews and responds to MRP action messages to ensure timely material availability and minimize production disruptions
- Ensures planning activities are aligned with project budgets, schedules, and regulatory requirements, including FAR/DFARS compliance
- Supports internal and external audits, providing documentation and reporting necessary for government contract compliance and inventory traceability
- Actual shop floor experience in a fast paced Manufacturing Environment.
- Knowledge and experience using Deltek CostPoint MRP
- Preferred candidates will also meet some of the following:
- Electromechanical components or manufacturing
- Deltek Costpoint accounting software
- Windchill configuration management software
- Interpreting and creating Bills of Materials
- Government contractor material purchasing requirements
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP).
