
Computer Systems Architect OR Principal Computer Systems Architect

- Provide software, hardware, and system support to on-site end-users as well as engineering technical support for peer teams.
- Engineer and test new technical solutions in lab environments, technical requirements and/or bug fixes
- Use application of extensive technical expertise to support a developing system.
- Integrate and install system cabling and rack equipment IAW engineering specifications
- Support the IPT with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts.
- Develop and maintain Microsoft PowerShell scripts, Bash and Python scripts, and Microsoft Group Policies
- Work with storage systems and basic networking, Solaris 10 and 11, Oracle OEM, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, VMware ESXi, Vmware, and vCenter
- Script deployments of Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation and Solaris 10 and 11 operating systems
- Maintain COTS Hardware, Software configuration matrix, technical installation, configuration and update procedures
- Automate installation of COTS software
- Documenting and maintaining system configurations
- Maintain compatibility with existing architectures when implementing system enhancements
- Implement engineering changes to the system as required
- Design and implement VMware high-availability virtualized infrastructures
- Release CM controlled documentation, scripts, and COTS software media
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
- Demonstrated experience with VmWare
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8140-approved IAT Level II (or higher) compliant certification. Examples include: CCNA Security, Security+ce, CCNP, and CISSP. This certificate must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. (Of note: SAP/PAR will be upgraded once selected candidate is in role. Therefore, candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain upgraded SAP/PAR.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
- Demonstrated experience with VmWare
- Ability to obtain and maintain IAT Level II certification to include: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP. This certificate must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
