We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in secure software development and deployment within Department of Defense (DoD) environments. This role requires a strong background in DevSecOps methodologies, cloud platforms, and automation tools. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in GitLab (GTLB), AWS, Elastic Stack, and Apache NiFi, and has a working understanding of RMF. Prior experience in intelligence community (IC) environments is highly desirable. This position is perfect for a technical leader who understands how to integrate security at every phase of the software development lifecycle.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps best practicesLeverage GitLab for version control, CI/CD automation, and secure code scanningDeploy, configure, and monitor systems and microservices within AWS environmentsIntegrate Elastic Stack for logging, metrics, and operational observabilityBuild and manage secure data flows using Apache NiFiCollaborate with security and compliance teams to align practices with RMF requirementsConduct security assessments and implement automated security controls across the SDLCWork with developers, infrastructure teams, and cyber engineers to improve the overall security postureSupport the development of DevSecOps policies, procedures, and toolkits for enterprise adoptionProvide technical mentorship and guidance to cross-functional engineering teamsMust Have's:10–15 years of experience in DevSecOps or secure software engineering within DoD environmentsStrong proficiency in GitLab (GTLB) for CI/CD pipelines and code repository managementHands-on experience with AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and security controlsFamiliarity with Apache NiFiWorking knowledge of RMF and its application in software developmentPrior experience supporting DoD programsExcellent communication and documentation skillsIAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)AWS Certified Security Specialty (SCS-C02)Nice to Have's:Experience in intelligence community (IC) or classified environmentsSplunk Enterprise Certified AdminFamiliarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AnsibleExperience implementing zero trust architectures or secure enclave strategiesLocation
