- Plans, coordinates, and manages the project process for multi-family residential and mixed-use architectural projects, as well as other projects as the market dictates
- Represents the project as the primary contact for client interaction
- Serves as the main contributor during client meetings and presentations
- Initiates and manages the contracts and finances for assigned projects
- Generates, maintains weekly work plans for the design team and project schedules.
- Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties.
- Leads, collaborates, and coordinates multiple consultants to ensure design and documentation meet project expectations and is code compliant
- Responsible for managing and balancing the budget, scope and schedule for all projects in your portfolio
- Must be knowledgeable about the project typology and be able to advise the client and team on lessons learned during previous similar projects, as well as typical design standards, pros and cons of various system options, general costing and constructability
- Mentors junior staff and helps them navigate the process of the project
- Tracking and delivering on contract requirements
- Knowledge of different delivery methods
- Other responsibilities may vary based on project needs and available resources
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- Licensed Architect
- 10 years of Architecture experience
- 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager for:
- Medium to large scale, mixed-use projects (multi-family residential, residential parking experience, hotel, retail, office), at minimum, 3 projects
- Domestic projects in North America mountain region
- Experience with types of construction and permitting practices for the building typology
- Experience with industry specific Project Document and Management software
- Significant exposure to all design and administration phases of the design and construction process and comfortable with industry terms and acronyms used, as well as team roles and responsibilities
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- LEED accreditation
- Experience with Utah agencies and entitlement and permitting process
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
