  • Supports the growth of staff and the Respiratory Care program by promoting education, ensuring compliance with standards, and maintaining best practice.
  • Collaborates with physicians and the care team to provide safe appropriate care.
  • Compiles necessary information in preparation for assessing workload, budget, department goals, and follow through on strategy plans.
  • Develops and promotes new departmental growth opportunities and programs to support the health of our community.
  • Knowledgeable in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients. Guides staff to develop and conduct plan of care for patients.
  • Coordinates pulmonary function tests, and the outpatient sleep study program.
  • Ensures proper documentation of care provided and data elements in the patient's medical record.
  • Provides direct and indirect care to patients to both inpatient and outpatient, including administration of modalities and/or treatments.to adolescents, and adults (including geriatrics).
Requirements of this position include:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years experience as an RRT
  • Ability to organize department activities and motivate staff
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all encounters.
  • Able to recognize and respond to non-verbal cues and communication.
  • Current license to practice respiratory care in WI. NRP within 6 months of hire
  • BLS
  • ACLS, PALS preferred
