- Strategy & Vision Define and lead the product vision for reporting, dashboards, and data visualization frameworks that support strategic and operational decision-making. Represent brand-specific priorities in enterprise-level IT planning and discussions, advocating for solutions that drive business value. Consolidate fragmented reporting systems into a cohesive, scalable structure that improves efficiency and consistency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with teams across finance, marketing, merchandising, planning, and other functions to identify and prioritize analytics needs. Serve as the primary liaison between Brand business teams and central IT, fostering strong collaboration and alignment. Influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority to drive alignment and adoption of BI solutions. *Provide job aids and periodic trainings seminars to ensure employees can navigate reporting systems effectively.
- Solution Delivery & Execution Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and communicate them effectively to IT teams. Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting and BI solutions in collaboration with IT. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports and analytics across business units to support both strategic initiatives and daily operations.
- Tools & Technology Leverage multiple BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, SQL) to deliver impactful insights and visualizations tailored to diverse audiences. Continuously improve reporting tools and processes based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
- Team Leadership & Enablement Lead a small team of developers and analysts, providing direction, support, and development opportunities. Design and implement training programs to elevate data literacy and self-service capabilities across user groups. Clearly communicate system capabilities, enhancements, and changes to stakeholders to ensure transparency and adoption.
- Program Management Proactively manage program risks, dependencies, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of initiatives. Monitor performance and adoption of BI solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation. *Oversee the creation and distribution of reports to minimize duplication, ensuring teams are funneled toward standardized, trusted data sources unless new reporting is clearly justified.
- Education + Experience: Bachelors degree in business, computer science, or similar field. 7+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, and/or program management roles. Retail or consumer-facing industry experience preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven experience with BI tools and data platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, dbt). Strong understanding of data modeling, visualization, and reporting best practices.
- Strategic Thinking: Developing long-term plans and strategies to support scalable business goals.
- Project Management: Leads complex, cross-functional, highly visible initiatives from planning through execution. Manages timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment with discipline and clarity.
- Partnership Development: Builds strong, trust-based relationships with URBN partners and internal teams. Facilitates collaboration that drives mutual value and long-term success.
