- Our client, a highly respected HVAC mechanical servicing company and service firm that has been around for 80+ years, is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join their leadership team. This newly created and high-impact position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth strategy, building out a new division, and influencing critical decisions that will define the organization’s future.
- The Business Development Director will lead client acquisition, maintain pipeline discipline, and foster strong, long-term relationships. The company values collaboration, integrity, and a close-knit culture, and is seeking a leader who embodies these principles.
- The Business Development Director will drive large-scale growth initiatives while leading and expanding the sales team. For at least the first 90 days, the role will operate as an individual contributor to gain a deep understanding of the company’s culture, clients, and strategic objectives, including the hiring of additional team members. Key responsibilities include supporting cross-functional efforts to secure multi-million-dollar project sales, monitoring sales team performance, ensuring operational efficiency, and collaborating closely with estimating, engineering, and project management teams. This candidate will also represent the company at executive-level meetings and conferences. This candidate would often be on the road meeting potential clients.
- 10+ years of proven success in Commercial HVAC sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Demonstrated ability to independently build and/or grow a division from the ground up
- Strong CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred)
- Prior experience successfully executing projects from 2 million up to 50 million
