- Drive territory sales by executing a proactive outbound strategy: client meetings, events, and follow-ups - demonstrating a strong sense of ownership, managing the territory like their own business-proactive, entrepreneurial, accountable.
- Travel within the territory to build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and meetings to achieve sales targets.
- Meets or exceeds all territory and firm sales goals for their assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the firm's products and services to effectively communicate the value of Horizon's solutions that best align with their business objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a territory business plan in partnership with the National Sales Director to increase sales revenue and market share within an assigned area of responsibility, targeting specific advisor segments and key accounts.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated Internal Advisory Specialist to maximize territory sales efforts and meet sales targets.
- Maintain a disciplined sales process: tracking pipeline activity, key KPIs, advisor engagement, and follow-up tasks in CRM.
- Provide superior service to ensure growth and retention of assets, serving as a trusted advisor to clients, providing investment insights, guidance, and business consultation.
- Represent the firm as a trusted solutions partner at national conferences, regional meetings, and other industry events to promote the firm's offerings and value proposition and promote brand awareness.
- Maintain all activity in dedicated CRM to properly track all sales efforts, client contacts and any other necessary information.
- Proven track record in financial services sales, especially in a wholesaler role with a history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Success in this role requires a strong command of consultative selling and the ability to differentiate by delivering holistic value beyond product, consistently uncovering and addressing advisor needs.
- You must be a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Understands and applies concepts of goals-based investing, planning-first engagement, and a solutions-based sales approach.
- You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets, investment advisory products, and industry trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services related sales or consulting
- Experience with large independent broker-dealers firms and registered investment advisers required.
- FINRA series 7 and 65/66 required
- Ability to meet extensive travel requirements.
