We are seeking an experienced Title Insurance Officer to ensure smooth and accurate real estate closings. This role involves conducting title searches, issuing title insurance policies, and facilitating the transfer of property at closing. The Title Officer serves as the central point of contact for buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents, safeguarding title integrity and protecting clients from future financial loss.You know the drill, but here are the basics:
  • Provide general assistance to Agency's title counsel in underwriting and coordinating single and multi-site national transactions.
  • Ordering searches, following up with locals for reports, missing documents, searches, surveys, information on local practices, etc.;
  • Interacting with internal team members and clients to ensure that service and quality standards are consistently met
  • Coordinating pro forma and final policies pre- and post-closing
  • Preparing settlement statements and disbursement requests.
  • National commercial closing experience and excellent communication skills required.
  • Familiarity with escrow instructions, co-insurance, reinsurance, and high liability underwriting procedures preferred.
  • Perform thorough title searches to identify liens, encumbrances, or ownership issues.
  • Issue standardized title insurance policies for buyers and lenders.
  • Ensure accuracy of property descriptions and resolve title exceptions.
  • Protect clients by defending against covered claims under issued policies.
