
Stormwater Engineer

- Review project design and reports and assist with project management and scheduling for stormwater projects
- Perform H&H analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience
- Prepare construction plans and specifications as well as technical memorandums and reports
- Develop Probable construction cost estimates for projects
- Observe construction and coordinate with contractors
- Coordinate work with other disciplines such as roadway, geotechnical, structures, etc.
- Perform stormwater management and drainage studies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Mentor junior staff and Designers
- 4+ years of stormwater, H&H, and drainage experience.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads, Civil3D or AutoCAD (Consor will train engineers w/o OpenRoads experience.)
- UDOT project experience (a plus)
- HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, StormCAD and similar software experience (a plus)
- Perform floodplain mapping and analysis for FEMA and local agencies.
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- This job operates between an office environment and some project site visits. Routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.
- While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
