Automated Picking (AutoStore) Team LeadThe Automated Picking (AutoStore) Team Lead plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the Famous Supply Distribution Center. In this role, you will be an active daily participant in all AutoStore system functions. You will provide support and direction to Associates working within the automated picking system and collaborate with engineering and management to continuously improve processes. You will also support training and onboarding, act as a point person for problem solving and escalations, and make a critical impact on our business as a leader in automation.Starting wage: $20/hour + based on experiencePrimary Job Responsibilities:Operating the AutoStore automated picking systemLoading, picking, packing, sorting, and pallet consolidationEnsuring equipment is loaded properly and accuratelyTraining Associates under the guidance of Warehouse and Shift ManagersEnsuring best practices and safety protocols are followedCollaborating with Engineering and Management to:- Optimize system performance- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)- Identify and troubleshoot technical issuesProviding clear direction and expectations for all AssociatesSupporting small projects and maintenance workCleaning and general upkeep of the AutoStore areaHandling products with care to prevent damageRequired Experience and Skills:Strong communication and leadership skillsProblem-solving ability, especially in technical and operational contexts1–3 years of Team Lead experience in a warehouse or automated system settingExperience using warehouse equipment and automation systemsStrong integrity and reliability—you will help set the tone, energy, and expectations of AssociatesAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbsAbility to stand on feet for the majority of an 8-hour dayAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Experience and Skills:3–5 years of experience in a warehouse setting with progressive responsibility in a Lead roleExperience with AutoStore or similar automated picking systemsBuilding industry experience and requisite product knowledgeExperience using RF scannersSafety trainingForklift certificationWhat Makes Us Famous!
