Primary Location: Madison, WisconsinHybrid positionV-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a .NET Web Developer II for our premier client in Madison, Wisconsin.Education and Experience ยป
  • C# and ASP.NET (MVC 5 & Core 8): Proven experience building and maintaining web applications using both legacy (.NET Framework) and modern (.NET Core) platforms.
  • .NET Core 6/7/8: Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and web applications using .NET Core, including dependency injection, middleware, and minimal APIs.
  • VB.NET: Ability to understand, debug, and enhance legacy codebase.
  • .NET Framework (4.8): Deep understanding of the .NET runtime, libraries, and configuration.
  • Kendo UI (jQuery + MVC Wrappers): Experience in creating rich UI components and interaction using Kendo UI widgets.
  • JavaScript & jQuery: Strong proficiency in frontend scripting, DOM manipulation, AJAX calls, and event-driven UI design.
  • SQL Server: Experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Oracle & DB2: Solid understanding of working with multiple RDBMS systems, with ability to handle data integration, migration, and cross-platform queries.
  • Web API (RESTful Service): Experience building and consuming web services with security and versioning in mind.
  • Entity Framework/Dapper/ADO.NET: Knowledge of ORM tools and raw data access strategies.
  • Front-End Integration: Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and browser compatibility.
  • Unit Testing: Writing and maintaining unit tests for both front-end and back-end code.
  • Version Control Systems: Experience with Git.
Top 3-4 desired skills:
  • Strong technical skills with C# and ASP.NET, .NET Core, VB.NET, .NET Framework.
  • Technical mastery of JavaScript and jQuery, and KendoUI.
  • Demonstrated expertise with SQL Server, DB2 and Oracle.
