
Business Development Manager, Mining Solutions

- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to drive new business development (NBD) across the U.S. mining sector
- Proactively engage with key mining customers, with regular site visits Tuesday through Thursday (travel-heavy schedule)
- Understand customer needs and value drivers; present tailored Clariant solutions with a consultative, value-based sales approach
- Identify, qualify, and manage sales opportunities in CRM - from early engagement through first sales
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and technical teams to ensure customer-centric innovation and solution development
- Participate in weekly regional project meetings to report pipeline progress, align activities, and share market insights
- Hand off accounts to Account Managers after successful onboarding and initial sales
- Support distributors with training and technical knowledge when needed
- Provide insights to global and regional innovation teams about emerging market needs and potential
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemistry
- Minimum 5 years in B2B sales, business development, or technical service-preferably in the mining or chemical processing industries
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and data-driven sales tools
- Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills; capable of adapting to diverse technical and commercial environments
