Senior UC4/Automic and Linux Systems Administrator

- Provide application administration support for UC4/Automic enterprise scheduling systems.
- Develop monitoring solutions and reporting tools for job runs and batch environments.
- Support incident triage, root cause analysis, and remediation of scheduling issues.
- Lead and perform UC4 upgrades, migrations, and patching in production environments.
- Integrate UC4 with Linux, Windows, and Mainframe environments to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with job scheduling teams to define standards, escalation processes, and diagnostic methods.
- Develop and enhance automation scripts using JCL, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, and Java.
- Contribute to disaster recovery and high-availability solutions for scheduling systems.
- Provide guidance and expertise in additional scheduling platforms (Control-M, Autosys).
- Document policies, procedures, and operational reports for administrative needs.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
- 5–7 years of UC4/Automic experience in Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong background supporting UC4/Automic with Oracle and SQL databases.
- Proven success performing UC4 upgrades in production environments.
- Advanced scripting/programming skills (JCL, PowerShell, Perl, Java).
- At least 2 years of experience with Control-M and Autosys scheduling tools.
- Solid understanding of IT development and enterprise-class multi-tier systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to management.
- High integrity and confidence in decision-making with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Red Hat-based Linux environments.
- Proficiency in Bash scripting.
- UC4/Automic certification (preferred, not required).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree desirable).
