CNA Is seeking an experienced Financial Analysis Consultant to join the Business Unit FP&A Team. The Business Unit FP&A team primarily partners with leaders in the Underwriting and Actuarial departments to deliver deeper insight into P&L results, driving improvements in growth and profitability. Additionally, this role will optimize and streamline reporting, build out new analytical resources, lead special projects, and be a key player in financial forecasts and plans.This role is located in Chicago, IL and team comes into the office in a hybrid model.Your Day to DayLeverage financial expertise to recognize and resolve emerging issues, independently investigate anomalies and variances in dataInfluence decision-makers through effective verbal and written communicationManage multiple constituents and requests to build relationships and deliver maximum value to the organizationExtract or summarize key insights, clearly and concisely communicate insights with actionable recommendations to senior leadershipPrepare business cases to support decision-making by creating innovative strategies for revenue growth and cost reductionDevelop forecast models based on comparative performance metrics and implement improvements as the business growsDrive process improvement and automationLead special projects with minimal directionCoach, lead and develop less experienced analysts while fostering a positive, open team environmentSkills & QualificationsStrong knowledge of corporate and departmental accounting/finance practices, procedures and principles; insurance organization and industry familiarity a plusAdvanced modeling skills including advanced Excel and Tableau skillsTrack record of delivering results with a high degree of accuracyAbility to work independently and self-motivate in a rapidly changing environmentAbility to work with senior business partners with tight deadlinesExperience with Workday, Adaptive, and Looker a plusEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or business, or equivalent; Master's degree preferred5 to 7 years of finance experience or a related analytical field with progressively increasing levels of responsibility#LI-MR1#LI-HYBRIDIn certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $72,000 to $141,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
