Commercial Construction Project Engineer (Kansas City area)NOW HIRING!! Had a new need come in this week with a Division Manager of a long time commercial general contractor in Kansas City that is currently looking for Project Engineers for large scale current and upcoming commercial ground up projects. Ideally those that have a couple years of commercial construction experience that are now looking for a great opportunity to grow and work on some larger projects in the area. Starting conversations immediately with interviews to follow all next week.Qualifications for Project Engineer:Bachelor's degree preferred Construction related degree (Construction Management, Engineering, etc.)Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and construction-related documentsNeeding at least 2+yrs previous commercial construction experience and prefer proficient with MS Office SuiteExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project a plusExceptional communication skills in a fast paced environmentAbility to be resourceful and proactive when issues ariseProfessional attitude and experience with owner occupied spaces a plusExcellent organizational skills and attnetion to detailTime-management and multitasking skillsResponsibilities for Project Engineer:Produce, monitor, track and distribute project ASI's, CCD's, RFI's and SubmittalsAssist in procurement of building permits, Certificate of Occupancy, and other requirementsAssist Superintendent and Project Manager with Quality Assurance and Quality ControlAttend weekly or biweekly OAC and/or Subcontractor Coordination meetingsCoordinate distribution of bidding documents to prospective subs and suppliersDocument construction progress through weekly site visits and photographsAssisting in the coordination and securing of owner furnished equipment and furnishingsHelp to create and maintain accurate as-built drawings onsiteMaintain project record documents including the assembly of final O&M manuals and As-built DrawingsAssist Project Manager in miscellaneous project dutiesFulfill special project needs as they arise.Additional duties and responsibilities as assignedBenefits for Project Engineer:Competitive industry compensation and benefits packageBig emphasis on interesting and challenging work, sustainability, and community outreachDiverse Commercial Portfolio with large ground up work throughout the areaTo apply, please send your resume to Bobby Gournoe at or call #605.277.4933.
