Come join our production team where you will work in a hands-on collaborative environment with the ability to see your work come together in an end product every day.Job SummaryThe Inventory Coordinator is responsible for assisting the plants and purchasing in monitoring, managing, and maintaining the overall inventory level at two plants (Granger, IN and Janesville, WI). *Can office out of Granger or Janesville*.Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the buyers and plants to monitor and maintain all plant programs.
  • Know our system inside and out so you can run any inventory and receive reports available and answer inventory questions that come up.
  • Handle most communication with specific vendor contacts and facilitate their needs.
  • Investigate any inventory discrepancies and communicate the issue with plants and vendors.
  • Handle vendor issues tactfully
  • Prepare various reports and correspondence as required
  • Perform other duties as directed
  • Assists in assigned special projects
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or related area
  • Working knowledge of inventory internal controls, and company procedures
  • Working knowledge in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Preferred knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades, and species
  • Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures
