This R&D Electrical Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and testing electrical systems for custom automated machinery. Responsibilities include creating schematics, programming control systems, selecting components, performing risk assessments, and supporting the build and integration process.The R&D Electrical Engineer will report into the R&D Team Leader and will:
  • Design and develop electrical schematics, control panels, and automation systems
  • Program and integrate motion control, vision systems, and safety devices
  • Perform risk assessments, load calculations, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and system issues using diagnostic tools
  • Document and manage project plans, technical documentation, and vendor coordination

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of automation or electrical design experience
  • Skilled in SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Knowledge of NFPA, UL, and IEC electrical standards
  • Experience with control panels, motion control, and system troubleshooting
