Mercer provides a turn-key approach that includes planning, design, construction, and installation as well as service, monitoring, and maintenance.An Inventory Coordinator at R.W. Mercer assists with the day-to-day inventory needs of the Service Department and Over the Counter Sales. They relay needed information to Purchasing and Inventory Manger in an accurate and timely manner.REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Receive and label new parts into inventory.
  • Track and process cores and warranty return parts.
  • Work closely with our Service Technicians to ensure the warehouse and service vehicles are properly stocked.
  • Pre-pull and stage parts needed to replenish the service vehicles at the end of each day.
  • Locate parts at other branch warehouses and arrange for transfer as needed.
  • Generate and review multiple inventory reports to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained and all transfers are accounted for.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Inventory Manager to ensure current inventory policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Handle over the counter sales and receive parts sales calls.
  • Keep warehouse and inventory clean, organized and properly labeled.
  • Responsible for keeping the inventory room locked and always secured.
  • Assist with physical inventory for warehouse and vans, including reconciling any inventory variances.
  • Back up Service Coordinator (handle service call, service billing, etc.) when necessary.
  • Additional tasks as assigned
JOB QUALIFICIATIONS
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalency certification.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and effective communication skills.
  • Perform quality work in a timely manner with or without direct supervision.
  • Ability to organize, set priorities, make decisions, and follow through effectively.
  • Must have basic knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and handling parts up to 75lbs.
  • Experience operating a forklift is preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory control is preferred.
