The Production Planning & Control (PP&C) organization is a critical component of Lockheed Martin's manufacturing operations, responsible for developing and executing plans to produce high-quality products on time and within budget. As a key enabler of production success, PP&C teams work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize production schedules, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Planner, you will work in the Production, Planning and Control organization as a Scheduler, Make, Buy or Bill of Materials (BOM) Planner.Coordinates with Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time-phased plan for procured parts. Utilizing MRP reports, Follow actions in the supply chain to ensure material is ordered and delivered to meet production , the subsequent process of the supply chain.Coordinates with Manufacturing and Operations Management to determine appropriate lot sizing strategy for make assemblies, analyzes requirement and executes the MRP plan by releasing work orders, ensures implementation of engineering changes to assemblies, and provides timely status to ensure operating schedules are met.This position typically requires 2-6 years of professional experience with a Bachelors degree, Masters degree and 1-4 years or combination of education and experience.Why Join UsDo you want to be part of a company culture that empowers employees to think big, lead with a growth mindset, and make the impossible a reality? This position is in Orlando.Basic QualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2+ years of professional experience; or a related Masters degree.Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, therefore must be a U.S. Citizen.Past experience with Make and Buy Planning, manufacturing and/or Make Planning experienceDemonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programsDesired skillsPossess knowledge of lean manufacturing
