- Successful experience in the coaching field, with successful experience in the school environment preferred.
- Meet the health and physical requirements and be fingerprinted.
- Instruct athletes on the rules, regulations, terminology, and techniques of the sport.
- Understand, implement, and support the guidelines pertaining to baseball as outlined by the TSSAA. Conduct team, and self, in an ethical manner during practices and contests, always exemplifying the highest standards of sportsmanship.
- Coordinate with other spring sports, Athletic Director, and other coaches vying for the use of facilities, practices, and scheduling.
- Provide a schedule to the Athletic Director and Transportation Supervisor at least two weeks prior to the start of the season (if not sooner).
- Emphasize safety precautions and be aware of the best training and injury management procedures.
- Make purchases using school system policy and procedures. Maintain a current inventory of equipment and uniforms.
- Other duties as assigned by the athletic director and school/system administrative team.
- Assistant Baseball coach for EHS;
- supervise activities associated with the same;
- other duties assigned by the athletic director or school principal.
- The persons employed in this position will be paid a supplement for his/her coaching duties. The starting date for the persons employed in this position will be immediate upon the fulfillment of employment requirements.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Meet the health and physical requirements and be fingerprinted and background checked.
- Knowledge of particular sport (philosophy & coaching).
- Personal experience participating in baseball is preferred.
- Must complete any training associated with coaching as outlined by the Elizabethton City Schools Athletic Department and the TSSAA.
- Must work in a professional manner and exhibit professionalism in instructing athletes during practice.
