We’re hiring several middle school-level or higher math instructors who are also willing to tutor ELA/reading. - Tutors comfortable with ELA and math for grades 6-9
- Ability to support high school algebra and geometry is a big plus!
- Our biggest need now is for Middle and High School math instructors for schools in Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, and Johns Creek
- General template schedules will be shared during your interview so you have a clear sense of available locations and time slots.
- Your manager will reach out on a first-come, first-served basis as school schedules and locations are confirmed (typically mid to late August).
- Classes generally start in late September or early October, with many schools choosing to continue through the spring semester (March/April).
- Content knowledge of elementary/middle school reading and math (high school algebra and geometry a plus!)
- Ability to explain concepts in multiple ways for students at different proficiency levels
- Previous experience working with children — e.g., tutoring, classroom support, mentoring, after-school programs, summer camps
- High school diploma (minimum)
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check and fingerprinting (required by the school district and fully reimbursed)
- Base pay: $25/hour + travel compensation for work done away from your primary work location
- Meeting in-person with individuals or small groups at area public schools during the school day
- Schedules vary by location: some as little as 90 minutes 2 days per week; some as much as 6 hours per day 3-5 days a week
