- Manage the day-to-day operations of the global accounting team, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other relevant accounting regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and legal, to support business initiatives and strategic decisions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and GAAP.
- Experience in leading and managing accounting teams, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
