About the Team & RoleA .NET Developer on our team is an experienced professional who will collaborate with all members of our Scrum Team to ensure the code we release is of the highest quality, thoroughly tested, and meets the needs of our end users. This individual will work across the full stack of our applications, and is expected to be independent in the implementation of new features and in the debugging and problem solving of issues.How you'll make an impactBe a great teammate and leader:Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Standups, Refinements, Retrospectives, Planning, and Requirements discussions)Help onboard new team membersCollaborate with QA Engineers, Developers, Users, Stakeholders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Architects throughout the lifecycle of a projectCommunicate effectively, clearly, and thoroughly with the Scrum Team and StakeholdersIdentify areas needing process improvements and see them through to resolutionWrite awesome code:Translate written or verbal requirements into extensible and well-organized coded solutions against our full stack applications using languages such as C#, SQL, Javascript, Typescript, Terraform and VB.NETLearn and leverage design patterns such as Factory, Facade, Composite, Observer, and MediatorFollow Object Oriented Programming best practices such as Encapsulation, Abstraction, Polymorphism, Single Responsibility, Open/Closed, and Interface Segregation, and adhere to WEX documented standardsEnsure quality releases by writing coded tests and testing coded solutionsConduct peer code reviews to ensure standards and best practices are followedUnderstand and support our products:Take initiative to learn the domain and surrounding/supporting featuresAnswer questions about the products and its codebaseRespond to and communicate Production issues timely and effectivelyExperience you'll bringA BS in an engineering field or equivalent work experience3+ years of development experienceA demonstrable working understanding of ASP.net and/or Angular and client side javascript frameworksFluent in C#, comfortable with T-SQL, and adaptable to other languagesThe base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
