- Collaborates with Regional Directors and Administrators to provide clinical support to licensed staff
- Trains and onboards new nursing staff in all aspects of clinical oversight
- Delivers ongoing education and training sessions for nursing staff
- Implements new clinical procedures and ensures nurses are trained on related policies and protocols
- Develops, coordinates, updates, and evaluates programs to meet regulatory, organizational, departmental, and discipline-specific requirements
- Designs, coordinates, and evaluates continuing professional education activities for nursing staff
- Recommends cost-effective strategies while maintaining quality care; works within established budget parameters
- Acts as a subject matter expert and resource for staff and departments in achieving educational, clinical, quality, and cost-related goals and performance outcomes
- Collaborates with Administrators to oversee LVN-led medical record reviews, ensuring current and accurate medical documentation
- Coordinates with the Medical Records Consultant to maintain organized and compliant records
- Actively participates on the Admission/Discharge Committee and the Human Rights Committee
- Oversees LVNs in their collaboration with the Pharmacy Consultant to develop procedures and conduct medication reviews
- Completes a minimum of one course per year from the DONA website as approved by Director of Health Services
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California; required
- One (1) year of clinical experience as an RN; required
- Two (2) years of experience in education, teaching, or in-service; required
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role; required
- Previous experience in the care and treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities; highly preferred
- Current and valid CA driver licenses; required
- Positive attitude with flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the residential home
- Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities
- Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with other
- Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Able to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
