Stanbridge University is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Director, Vocational Nursing (Evenings/Weekends) to help lead and grow our VN program. Working alongside the Program Director, this role drives curriculum delivery, supports faculty, ensures compliance, and champions student success. With a focus on our evening and weekend cohorts, you’ll provide the leadership and support needed to create an outstanding learning experience that matches the quality of our daytime program.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the VN program, with emphasis on evening and weekend cohorts.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate faculty.
  • Manage curriculum delivery, faculty schedules, instructional resources, and course planning.
  • Maintain adherence to the approved curriculum and ensure consistent instructional quality.
  • Utilize ATI resources and promote active learning strategies to drive student engagement.
  • Support student success by monitoring performance and implementing support strategies.
  • Provide timely feedback on students, faculty, and facilities during weekend clinicals.
  • Ensure grading, evaluations, and required reports are completed and submitted on time.
  • Ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate clinical site assignments and maintain partner relationships.
  • Collect and report program data for compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Establish strong two-way communication between the university and clinical facilities to ensure student requirements (e.g., health records, qualifications, paperwork) are met and to maintain healthy partnerships that drive student success.
Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a BVNPT-approved school required; Master’s degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least one (1) year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program (VN, RN, or psychiatric technician) within the last five years; or
  • Three (3) years in nursing administration or education within the last five years.
  • Professional Preparation: Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a collaborative leadership style; ability to support program outcomes and student achievement.
  • $110-$125,000/yr. Salary is dependent on experience and education.

Physical Demands:
  • Regularly sits for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to perform program- or department-related duties.
  • Proficient in using electronic keyboards and office equipment.
  • Effective verbal communication via phone and in person.
  • Ability to read fine print, operate computers, and understand voices clearly.
  • Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing 10–25 pounds as needed.
