Job DescriptionThe Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (USOR) is excited to invite you to join our team as a Choose to Work (CTW) Employment Specialist in St. George, UT. In this role, your mission is to create lasting connections between clients and employers, forging the ideal employment match.Principle Duties The CTW Employment Specialist will perform the following tasks:
  • Leads job coaching sessions, helping clients prepare for employment.
  • Creates customized job placement plans based on individual client needs.
  • Teaches essential job-hunting skills: resume crafting, application guidance, and interview techniques.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with employers.
  • Assists with securing interviews tailored to clients' job goals.
  • Collects and records client progress and employer feedback.
  • Partners with local groups, agencies, and businesses for enhanced client services.
  • Arranges and supports employment-related events like job fairs, employer workshops, business tours and mentoring events.
  • Traveling within your service area for essential appointments with business partners, clients and community partners.
Preferred Applicant for this position has:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A high degree of self-direction and the ability to work well independently.
  • Experience assisting individuals find employment.
  • Experience and interest in helping others overcome barriers.
