Lead Laser Operator (3rd Shift)

• Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a third shift Laser Machine Operator Lead. This person would operate laser machines and oversee a small team of 1-2 other Laser Machine Operators. A prospective candidate would have lead experience and manufacturing experience. An ideal candidate will have a background in laser operating in a metal shop environment. The selected candidate will receive comprehensive training on the laser operation.

• Manufacturing/Production experience, preferably in a metal shop environment
• Previous leadership experience
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments; good mathematical skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude; a desire to learn
• Positive attitude, good work ethic, and good communication skills

• Provide day-to-day direction and support to the 2-3 shop floor employees
• Operate and maintain the laser cutting machines to produce parts that meet quality and productivity standards and the production schedule
• Complete computer control set-up and adjustments;
• Perform material handling duties
• Complete paperwork for projects to include materials used, time keeping records, and time and material work
• Assist in preparing finished products for customer pick-up or delivery
