Job Title: Safety Engineer Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in leading and promoting a 'SAFE First' culture by ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations, and company policies. This is a contract position, initially set for two years, offering invaluable experience in a large company setting.Responsibilities
Lead and promote a 'SAFE First' culture within the organization.
Ensure the facility complies with safety and environmental programs, regulations, and company policies.
Perform job hazard analyses to identify potential risks in systems and processes, recommending corrective actions.
Review and update location standards, policies, and practices to align with company and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the Safety Manager to develop and implement training programs.
Maintain required records and prepare reports to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
Conduct safety and environmental inspections in the warehouse.
Organize and coordinate emergency response initiatives.
Conduct ergonomics assessments and implement solutions.
Organize and lead the safety committee.
Lead job safety analysis and accident investigations and reporting.
Facilitate ISO and ISO certifications.
Complete monthly safety and environmental training sessions.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
1-3 years of experience in safety and environmental roles within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ISO and OSHAS standards.
Ability and willingness to train large groups.
Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and OH DEP regulations.
Experience with accident investigations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Safety Engineer certification.
OSHA, EPA, ISO, and OSHAS knowledge and experience.
Work EnvironmentThe position is based at our Oxford, OH facility, which is a clean environment focused on industrial control panels and cabinets. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, with shifts from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM. The facility provides a supportive and structured environment conducive to professional growth.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Oxford, Ohio.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
