- Collaborate with other Electrical and Software/Embedded Systems engineers on product functions/interfaces and document such interfaces to ensure alignment on specifications
- Apply engineering theory, principles, and predictive failure analysis to ensure all systems are being designed for reliability, robustness, and real-world performance including EMI/EMC
- Conduct analog and digital circuit modelling and analysis to ensure designs are well characterized and so tolerances and limitations are understood
- Conduct research and study new technologies that would be applicable to projects or product design efforts and which drive innovation into the designs
- Prepare all PCB and electrical design documentation using appropriate CAD packages such as Altium Designer and SolidWorks Electrical
- Write firmware and other test code as applicable for real-time embedded controls
- Support the hand assembly and/or wiring of prototype and test units when necessary
- Effectively document and report key learnings for a wide range of technical and non-technical recipients
- Deliver thorough results with high quality based on commitments to project schedules and deadlines
- Openly share and receive knowledge and experience from other engineers to promote Team growth and development
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar required
- 1-3 years experience in a design or manufacturing environment; experience in the food service equipment industry or other equipment OEM is preferred
- Familiarity with electromechanical components, circuits, and sensors including motors, pumps, power delivery and control components, electrical interconnection components, electrical safety/interlock devices, temperature, and electrical monitoring sensors
- Familiarity of Agency and Certification Standards such as UL, CE, NEC, TUV, and NFPA
- Excellent documentation skills and oral communication skills directed to technical and non-technical audiences

- Familiarity with Altium
- Familiarity with SolidWorks 3D Electrical
