- Provide day-to-day guidance, training, and coordination for Transportation Services personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Operate multiple types of GSA-leased vehicles, including buses, shuttles, vans, and box trucks, in support of passenger transport, courier services, and warehouse deliveries.
- Assign and adjust daily routes, assist with coverage, and monitor team performance to meet schedules and mission requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal vehicle use policies, site-specific protocols, and all safety standards.
- Complete and review trip tickets, fuel usage logs, inspection forms, and other required documentation.
- Conduct and verify pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting safety or maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accountability of vehicle keys, fuel cards, and related resources; report discrepancies immediately.
- Support vehicle cleanliness and coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure vehicles remain in safe, operable condition.
- Serve as the on-shift point of contact for transportation-related issues and provide clear communication with team members, supervisors, and site staff.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Two (2) years of related driving experience; one (1) year in a lead or training role preferred.
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (minimum); Class A CDL preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; interim clearance required prior to start.
- Must hold and maintain a state driver’s license and meet Company safe driving requirements.
- Experience operating multiple vehicle types, including buses, shuttles, vans, and box trucks.
- Knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures, safe driving practices, and federal vehicle use policies.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills; basic computer/device proficiency for logs and trip tickets.
- Ability to coordinate work activities and provide guidance while performing hands-on driving duties.
- Willingness and ability to support shifts between 5:00 AM and 6:00 PM as required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) frequent periods of sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and balancing.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 60 lbs., including in awkward positions.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions while performing transportation duties.
- Work performed in a secure government-contracted environment with adherence to all site-specific safety protocols.
- Must be physically able to operate vehicles safely for extended periods and maintain situational awareness in high-traffic or confined areas.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
