Description :POSITION SUMMARYThis position is located at RBC AeroStructures, a division of RBC bearings. RBC AeroStructures is a leading manufacturer of structural and flight control assemblies for the military and commercial aerospace industry. RBC AeroStructures serves most major military and commercial aerospace platforms. This position will be responsible for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and support processes and will report directly to the Quality Manager.RESPONSIBILITIESQualify and perform as a Level II NDT Inspector in Liquid Penetrant inspection and Magnetic Particle inspection (Qualification includes classroom training, on-the-job training, and written exams and the process takes approximately six months to complete)Comprehend and apply all applicable customer and aerospace industry requirements including specifications, i.e. NAS 410, and other pertinent documented information.Develop and approve NDT technique sheetsScrap and rework reduction and continuous improvement projectsBecome Responsible Level III for NDT and act on behalf of the companyBe involved with and lead audit activities including NADCAPAssist in resolving any customer issues or complaintsPerform root cause corrective actions as necessaryComplete other Quality assignments as requiredJOB REQUIREMENTSMust be able to stand, walk (on concrete surfaces), bend, kneel, crouch, twist, sit, and lift to perform repetitive movementsMust be able to lift/push/pull objects up to 35 pounds, heavier objects require assistanceAbility to adhere to safety policies and follow all proceduresAbility to work well with others and teamMeet inspector requirements for vision acuityPossess excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with computers, various software programs, spreadsheets and formulasWork overtime as neededEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Material Science or Mechanical EngineeringPrevious training, experience, or coursework in non-destructive testing or metallurgy are a plusRBC Bearings is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Education : Bachelors
