
Sr Backend Software Developer

- Architect, design, and implement robust backend services using Go or Java for various applications within the division.
- Fully own and lead the development of one or more complex projects from concept to deployment.
- Design and develop high quality, testable and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to R&D best practices and processes.
- Participate in all steps of the continuous development lifecycle - including design, development, and testing.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Ensure quality by creating and maintaining unit tests.
- Provide support of the product to internal customers.
- Collaborate with team members to implement innovative approaches to real world problems.
- Collaborate with technical writers to share information with end users in the form of product documentation, videos, and/or white papers.
- Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.
- 8+ years of experience working on large complex software products as a developer.
- 6+ years of backend development experience, with strong proficiency in Go or Java.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven track record of leading complex software projects in a SaaS environment.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, leadership-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Experience with CI/CD and associated tools like Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Linux commands, etc.
