Stoltzfus Meats is seeking a friendly and efficient Poultry Clerk to help create a welcoming and inviting poultry area for our customers. The Poultry Clerk will be responsible for assisting customers with Poultry product inquiries and accurately operating the register. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer interaction and has a keen eye for detail to keep Poultry displays fresh, clean, and visually appealing.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the cash register accurately, processing sales transactions and providing excellent customer service
  • Assist customers with questions about poultry products, providing information on cuts, sizes, and packaging as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels of fresh and packaged poultry, working with the market manager to ensure all items are readily available
  • Handle customer requests for special items, packaging, or assistance with purchases
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the poultry counter, following sanitation and food safety standards
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a retail, grocery, or food service setting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and stock displays for an appealing customer experience
  • Customer service skills with a positive attitude and the ability to assist with product questions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
