
Senior Geotechnical Engineer

- Prepare technical reports, specifications and construction documents.
- Evaluate ground conditions and understand their impacts on design and construction.
- Provide guidance to entry level Engineers.
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
- Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
- Prepare subsurface exploration programs, laboratory assignments and preparing geotechnical reports
- Perform geotechnical investigations and construction inspections.
- Lead/manage geotechnical engineering investigations.
- Perform pile analysis, slope stability, settlement analysis, ground improvements and seepage analysis.
- Utilize computer software programs, such as: APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SEEPW, SLOPEW and GRLWEAP.
- Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and construction documents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural engineers, architects, and environmental specialists.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for geotechnical projects.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project requirements and findings.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in geotechnical engineering.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or related + 6 years of related experience and/or education or demonstrated equivalent.
- Valid US Driver's License
- NY and NJ PE highly preferred or ability to obtain within a year
- Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- 5 years of related work experience preferable
- Experience with NYSDOT, and NJDOT
- Ability to lead/manage geotechnical engineering investigations
