This isn't just another quality role, it's your chance to excel in a Manufacturing Engineering capacity while shaping the reliability standards for products that will transform how the world uses energy.An Engineering job with a Quality twist!Roles and Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & InnovationServe as subject matter expert for PCB/PCBA materials, assembly tooling, and high-reliability manufacturing processesLead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and provide critical input to engineering teams on new product designsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing partner networkDevelop and implement measurement methods ensuring consistent process controlManufacturing ExcellenceCollaborate directly with contract manufacturers to optimize materials, processes, and quality outcomesLead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities and ensure manufacturing readinessQualify equipment installations and process setups at partner facilitiesMonitor compliance with quality and safety certification standardsProblem Solving & AnalysisLead cross-functional teams through complex manufacturing challengesParticipating in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) activitiesDrive Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes for manufacturing and material issuesApply Statistical Process Control tools to identify and resolve quality issuesStrategic Partnership ManagementBuild and maintain technical relationships with global manufacturing partnersSupport new product introductions from concept through full-scale productionEnsure environmental exposure requirements are met through proper material and process selectionMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)8+ years manufacturing and testing experience with high-reliability electronic PCBA assembliesDeep expertise in solder chemistries/processing, electronics cleaning, and cleanliness validationHands-on experience with conformal coating and potting processesStrong quantitative analysis skills with ability to communicate data-driven insightsWorking knowledge of PCB design and DFM toolsUnderstanding of Statistical Process Control methodologiesCritical thinking and problem-solving capabilities for complex manufacturing challengesProven track record leading cross-functional engineering teams through complex technical challengesPreferred Qualifications:Power electronics, consumer electronics, or commercial electronics backgroundExperience in matrix organizations and international manufacturing environmentsTrack record collaborating across multiple sites and functionsStrong knowledge of IPC, J-STD, and applicable PCBA standardsExperience with failure analysis equipment (SEM, X-Ray, IC, LIBS, Optical Microscopy, FTIR)Familiarity with lean manufacturing principlesSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferredIPC certification (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610) a plusPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
