- Directly manages a team of three, including two staff accountants and one senior accountant.
- Oversees the month-end close process with additional oversight during quarterly and year-end closings.
- Handle all aspects of inventory accounting for the the division, including the detailed per-unit costing of raw materials, in-process inventory, and finished goods.
- Responsible for tracking and analyzing transportation-related financial activity.
- Maintain and update cost allocation models, ensuring accuracy and completeness on at least an annual basis.
- Compile and distribute monthly financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership review.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including other accounting personnel, to confirm accurate period-end reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Assists in assembling and reviewing presentation materials for the quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
- Prepares written analysis and commentary on Oil and IFS performance for monthly leadership discussions.
- Works with operational and financial leadership, to develop the annual budget and assist with quarterly forecast updates.
- Conduct financial reviews of individual site performance and overall segment results to support decision-making and improve profitability and efficiency.
- Identify areas for improvement in current accounting practices, designs solutions, and implements process enhancements to strengthen internal controls and streamline work flows.
- Plays a vital role in preparing for the annual financial audit and quarterly reviews, including coordinating responses to auditor requests and documenting relevant accounting procedures and internal control measures.
- Support the company's adoption of new accounting standards, working closely with other leaders within the finance function.
- Oversee the accounting operations for the Indianapolis Re-refinery and is expected to conduct quarterly on site visits to stay connected with the facility's operations and gain deeper insight into day-to-day activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
