- Work directly with the Litigation Partner, assisting with all aspects of litigation cases, including client counsel, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and legal documents.
- With the Litigation Partner, represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop case strategies.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable legal standards and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and updates.
- Monitor case progress and manage deadlines effectively.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to client pitches and proposals, opportunity to be involved in the firm's well known podcast and video content!
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the NY State bar.
- Ideally 4th-8th year with experience in real estate litigation (preferably construction, co=op/ condo, breach of contract and other related real estate litigation matters), familiarity with court procedures and strong legal writing skills.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to approach complex problems methodically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- The ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- An interest in mentoring/ managing Junior Associates would be highly beneficial.
- Competitive salary c. $200,000 to $250,000, (depending on experience).
