How many years working with automation or scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL, etc.):Job Description:We are seeking a Junior SQL Database Administrator with 3–5 years of recent and relevant SQL Server experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in SQL development and be eager to grow in database administration. You will work closely with senior DBAs, developers, and other IT professionals to support, maintain, and optimize our SQL database environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Perform regular database maintenance, backups, recovery, and tuning.
  • Assist with performance monitoring, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage database objects and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain database security, including roles, permissions, and access controls.
  • Support development, staging, and production environments.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA (SQL Server 2016+ preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL development (stored procedures, views, triggers, etc.).
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Coachable, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Nice to Have:
  • Exposure to cloud database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
  • Experience with automation or scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL, etc.).
  • Understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) concepts.
