SFG provides accounting services and support for several Operating Companies of Summit Materials.Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic team member with a customer-oriented mindset at our Lawrence, KS location. The Inside Sales Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of sales operations by assisting and collaborating with customers and management personnel. This individual will utilize key systems and processes focusing on excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Field incoming calls to the Buildex office and address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide effective solutions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Use teamwork and product knowledge to determine customer requirements and material availability.
  • Handle quoting through fulfillment for cash customer orders.
  • Prepare customer quotations and manage follow-up cadence and records.
  • Monitor and assist in annual bid packages and monthly state lettings.
  • Contact small volume customers to ensure proper sales coverage and increase service levels.
  • Work with third party haul vendors to ensure safe and timely deliveries of orders.
  • Manage APEX order entry, project status, volumes, and updates to pricing.
  • Update customer accounts, activities, leads, opportunities and bids in Microsoft CRM tool.
  • Maintain accounts receivable aging and contact customers for payment status.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding billing, invoices, and online payments.
  • Collect deposits, payments, and perform credit card payment transactions.
  • Serve as backup for the daily ticket-edit process and review tickets to minimize invoicing errors.
  • Prepare various reports for sales team and perform month end reports.
  • Compose Buildex social media updates for distribution.
  • Detail and revise best practices for standard work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales administration, customer service, or a similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and improve.
  • Ability to work well in high-pressure, time-sensitive environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Produce high quality work that is detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and follow company integrity guidelines.

  • Minimal travel required to plant location(s), conferences, various meetings, and training.
