- Leads the coordination of processes for leave, disability, and absence management programs to ensure appropriate risk management, cost control and adherence to the law.
- Leads the ADAAA accommodation process, using industry experience to conduct interactive discussions with managers and teammates to arrive at optimal solutions, and ensuring procedural follow through.
- Ensures teammate HRIS and payroll records are accurate, including proper and timely execution of moving teammates through the appropriate lifecycle if they are not able to return to work.
- Monitors and tracks FMLA leave usage, ensuring compliance with leave entitlements and any applicable state or federal regulations.
- Provides timely responses to requests and questions regarding benefits, escalating complex issues to vendors or benefits team members as appropriate.
- Utilizes demonstrated technical skills with respect to leave data to conduct analysis, problem solve, conduct process improvements, spot trends, and resolve issues.
- Implements and executes procedures to collect benefit premiums while teammates are on an unpaid leave.
- Manages vendor relationship to ensure quality and excellent customer service to the organization and to teammates. Manages any vendor changes as it relates to our internal processes or HRIS systems.
- Conducts and facilitates education and presentations of leave of absence programs and provisions to teammates as well internal partners.
- Provides ongoing support for HR Generalist and HR Business Partners on leave and vendor related concerns; partners with legal as required.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
- • In depth knowledge of leave and accommodation laws including FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.
- Detail oriented with high level of accuracy, and ability to manage time to coordinate simultaneous projects.
- Responds promptly to teammate needs; solicits teammate feedback to improve service.
- A consultative approach. Strong communication skills in a variety of channels (written, one-on-one, group).
- High degree of organizational skills, along with the ability to set priorities and work independently with minimum supervision in a high volume, fast paced work environment.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion in the areas of life-threatening and chronic illness, grief and loss.
- Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with HRIS systems, Success Factors, ADP GlobalView experience a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- 2-3 years of experience administering LOA and ADAAA accommodations.
- Advance Excel Knowledge
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
- Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
