Cardiovascular Surgical Tech Job Details
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel contract for healthcare professionals)
- Location: Hospital setting in Green Bay, Wisconsin
- Start Date: September 15, 2025
- End Date: December 13, 2025
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: 10-hour variable day shifts (start times between 5:45 AM and 10:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed except during holidays and orientation week)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2030 - $2190
- On Call: Weekdays and weekends as needed (30-minute response time required)
- Float: May float between hospital and nearby surgery center (10 minutes apart)
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: As needed due to call rotation
- Scrub Colors: Provided
- Radius Rule: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Bellin Health
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Active AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech, including recent cardiac surgery experience (open heart bypasses and valve cases required)
- Epic charting experience within the past 2 years
- Experience in vascular procedures preferred
- Strong time management, adaptability, and teamwork skills
- Must begin medical compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer (24 hours for quick start)
- Serve as the primary Cardiovascular Surgical Tech in the operating room, focusing on cardiac surgeries
- Assist with open heart, vascular, general, GYN, and robotic surgical cases
- Float between hospital and surgery center as needed to support clinical volume
- Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation, responding within 30 minutes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
- Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and effective communication in a fast-paced healthcare environment
