The Fire Safety Service Field Engineer is responsible for programming and troubleshooting Fire Alarm systems. Applicant must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: Fire Systems, Common Electrical Instruments and their usage, Local and Wide Area Networking, Life Safety and Security Codes/Standards. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for servicing product and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Ability to work with hand tools for mounting, assembling, testing, and programming systems.
  • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.
  • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
  • Provides technical support to customers.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Final candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, including criminal and motor vehicle check.
