- Manage and complete maintenance tickets using a computer-based ticket management system for the following sites:
- Pepper Dr. Hope House in Rockford, IL
- Guilford Hope House in Rockford, IL
- Zion apartment building in Zion, IL
- Emergency Shelter in Waukegan, IL
- Lake Villa Campus in Lake Villa, IL
- Other OHU sites as directed by Regional Manager/Director of Facilities
- Ensures compliance with internal, local, and federal guidelines and safety standards
- Ensures that properties focus on safety first - both for staff and clients
- Responds to physical plant emergences/outages: arranges short term and more permanent repairs
- Manages major facility moves or relocations as requested
- Assists other custodial/maintenance staff as need or requested
- Schedules site visits to complete safety checks and assess future facility needs of the location
- Manages multiple projects and timelines
- Organizes and maintains all relevant documents (Fire Drills, Logs, Licenses, Vehicles Maintenance, Site specific documents, etc)
- Serves as primary contact for utility vendors, landscaping, snow removal and any other site related vendor.
- Proficiency in general maintenance repair including windows, doors, wall repair, painting, light plumbing, light electrical, etc
- Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and adaptive skills to expand software application skills as necessary
- Solid maintenance technical skills
- Ability to assess safety concerns and address them immediately.
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
- Ability to write routine reports and verbally communicate in a clear manner
- Excellent time management skills
- The ability to work in high stress situations
- Ability to exercise discretion and ensure confidentiality
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
